In Kiel, similarly as in different cities, there will be events that will promote Polish culture and history among city’s inhabitants and tourists. The organizers of “Promujemy Polskę Razem” project coordinated many interesting attractions for visitors.
Building of 4 meters high Frederic Chopin’s bust will be a great event. Among attractions organized in the harbor planned are as well pianos painting, visiting of ship’s board, “ballet on the yards” – air dance on the sailing ship to Frederic Chopin’s music, lessons of Polish national dance – Polonez, and fireworks show in the evening.
The “Fryderyk Chopin” sailing ship will be visiting Kiel’s harbor at the time of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (SHMF). The Polish program of the festival will be inaugurated on Saturday, July 17, by the Sinfonia Varsovia concert conducted by Krzysztof Urbański. At the same day on the “Dänische Straße” promenade a Polish Fest will take place in the city center.
A cocktail party organized on ship’s board will be an important event summarizing ship’s stay in Kiel. Among invited guests there are e.g. Jarosław Wałęsa, the Member of the European Parliament, Peter Harry Carstensen, the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein state and members of SHMF board.
Amsterdam will be the next stop on “Fryderyk Chopin” sailing ship’s cruise. According to plan, the crew will be calling at this port on July 22.
